Things that warm my heart…

My all-time fave Pixar flick!

Yesterday, my entire family was sick 😦 We were supposed to go to Chuck E Cheese’s, but were forced to stay indoors instead! So, I purchased UP! and a Willy Wonka Gingerbread House Kit!

DH's First time making a Gingerbread House!

Red Velvet Cupcakes!

This recipe is UBER delish! I didn’t have any good cocoa available, but I highly recommend using a good quality cocoa. Also, I went easy on the Red Dye, as it makes my fam crazy 😉 Other than that, the recipe is UBER moist and delish! I will definitely be making these again!

So, what are you folks doing for New Year’s Eve!!!!!?

TOTALLY awesome!

Totally Awesome

Has your year been TOTALLY awesome? Mine has! Here’s a card celebrating any awesome teen in your life 🙂

Free as a (Torendi) bird…

Free as a bird...

In 2010 both my cousins and my little bro are graduating High School!!! I cannot believe that I graduated 8 years ago myself…so strange! But, it still feels like yesterday! I thought this card would be awesome for one of my cousins 🙂 I used the Shinzi Katoh packing tape from Torendi! See the Supplies list below!

I made this card prior to knowing the 2Sketches4You Sketch and it totally fits 🙂

When the planets align…

Shoulder to shoulder...

Tonight, the planets aligned!!! They boys finished their dinner and sat down on the couch for a popcorn and movie night! I didn’t ask them to sit together. Nor, did I ask them to cuddle, shoulder to shoulder. But, they did! It lasted all of 10 minutes. And that whole time, the hubby and I cuddled too and marveled at this rarity!

Here’s to Family Time! CHEERS 🙂

July/August 2010 – Healing Through Our Craft
Card makers love to give of themselves through this connective hobby of ours. We make cards for others because we know that it will brighten their day or lighten their load in some way. We also make and give cards to others and because of the way it makes us feel: warm and joyful. There’s no doubt that sharing this kind of creativity can have healing powers: both for those to whom we give, and for ourselves in the act of giving. In this feature, we’d like to honor the occasions for which we give cards that really do help others heal: thinking of you, sympathy, miss you, encouragement, and get well.
