Doily Monograms

Amber's Monograms

Hello everyone! Please excuse the rock picture! All of my light box supplies are lost in a box somewhere 😉

I made these doily monograms for a friend of mine here at Fort Irwin. I was really worried she wouldn’t like them because the doily trend tends to start and stop in our paper crafting world! Amber likes elegant and classy and I thought this was a fun way to incorporate a trendy focal point! I used Practicing Creativity’s Key to My Heart Stamp Set.

Crafting With Friends :)

tiffguam and LawnFawn

This past weekend I had ONE last crafting night with my So-Cal Gals! Some of them weren’t able to make it, but I did get to craft with Ryann, Kelly, Melody, and Gingerbread Girl (rachel)!

Hello Blogosphere!

Our family is in the final preparations for moving, so you won’t see much from me in terms of crafting, but I do plan to post daily pictures and snippets of our days/travels.

My craft room is getting packed up today 😦 I have a rolling tote, so that will house my necessities!

I have some exciting news to share! I am spending the weekend with Dirty Girl, Ryann and Lawn Fawn’s famous Kelly 😉 There will be 2 other ladies there that I’m dying to meet! Eeeeeek!

Wish us luck! We move into our new home April 9th!

Eclectic Hello

Eclectic Hello

So, what do you make when you want to have fun? I was completely inspired by Tina’s post the other day and today I remembered her creation and went into MUST-create-NOW mode! I took out the a stamp set, three of my favorite inks, my fave houndstooth ribbon, and a doily. I told myself….now THIS should be fun 🙂

I love my card. Not because I think it looks fantabulous, but because I had a ton of fun making it!

Materials:

  • Schlosser Designs Stamps, Hexagon-A-Thon
  • Neenah Solar White cardstock
  • Tim Holtz Distress Inks: pumice stone, mustard seed, dusty concord
  • Bazzill cardstock
  • American Crafts Ribbon
  • Basic Grey Chipboard Alpas
  • Doily

What do you make for fun? What inspires YOU?

All Occasion Butterfly

All Occasion Butterfly

Here’s another Paper Crafts Submission Call Reject! LOL! I entered this card for the words category. It’s really simple to make!

Directions:

  1. Create butterfly mask. In my case, I didn’t own a butterfly punch or die to create a mask, so I printed a butterfly from the Hero Arts Digital Winged Things Kit on regular computer paper and cut.
  2. Adhere to trimmed patterned paper with removable adhesive.
  3. Spray with Glimmermist. Allow to dry.
  4. Remove mask and adhesive.
  5. Mat with white cardstock and adhere to card front.

Materials:

  • Hero Arts Winged Things Digital Kit
  • Prima Marketing Paper
  • My Minds Eye Paper
  • Neenah Solar White Cardstock
  • Tattered Angels Glimmermist (Olive Vine)

Coin Envelope Thank Yous

Coin Envelope Thank You

Hello everyone! My Sunday has turned out to be NOT as relaxing as I wanted 😦 Lots of emails, lots of phone calls, lots of laundry, lots of packing, lots to-do! However, I did find time to make these Coin Envelope Thank Yous for my boys’ teachers! These coin envelopes from Torendi are decorated on both sides and I created a little tag insert that has a picture on one side and a thank you on the other!

Thank You Note Insert

Materials are all from Torendi (unless otherwise noted):

Here’s a very simple card I made for the Paper Crafts’s Submission Sketch Call. I am absolutely in love with the new paper from My Mind’s Eye, especially the flocked once! The quote is from a Stampin Up! rub-on set that I received last fall. Today is all about organizing and cleaning. I showed Chris my moving notebook, with coordinating sticker labels and numbers to place box contents and he rolled his eyes!!!! This OCD chick CANNOT handle her fly-by-the-seat-of-his-pants packing boy! LOL! Wish me luck 🙂

Materials:

  • My Mind’s Eye Papers
  • Gina K. Kraft Cardstock (lush goodness!)
  • Tim Holtz Distress Ink
  • Stampin Up! Rub-on
  • EK Success Corner Rounder

Here’s a typical scene from my boys’s lives: CJ leads Liam through a puddle Adventure.
