May Arts + Lawn Fawn

Hello Blogosphere!!!

This week is exciting for the Lawn Fawn and May Arts design teams because we’re sharing projects featuring both manufacturers all week long with giveaways from both of them every single day! Be sure to check out The Lawn Fawn Blog AND The May Arts Blog!

Do you remember that baby shower I’ve been working on? I made these invitations:

Well, my center pieces for the shower are featured in the first picture! For the decor, I decided to go with turquoise, navy blue, orange, silver, and white! I used old Jones Soda bottles to create the upcycled centerpieces. Then, I stamped the star background from Teeny Tiny Backdrops to create the bottle wrappers. For a fun and trendy way to jazz them up even more, I loosely wrapped the bottom of the bottle-necks with the cool twill from May Arts and adhered a die-cut rocket medallion to the center!

My Sizzix eClips electric die-cutting machine cut everything PERFECTLY, even the little stars at 1/3″! I used the Boy & Girl and Basic Shapes cartridges. For the 3-D clouds, I used the eCAL software to die-cut a cloud shape 4 times and then I adhered all 4 together…voila, you have a 3-D cloud! I found that the automatic settings for lightweight, medium, and heavyweight cardstocks to be VERY accurate on the eClips, THANK goodness 😉

I have more projects for the babyshower to share with you soon 🙂

I liked it so much I took a picture of it to remember it by. I also love your blog, so easy to read not killing the eyes with overkill. I’ll be back!
