Sizzix on The Balancing Act!

Sooooo, Happy Hump Day!

Did you watch the episode of The Balancing Act yesterday? I have it DVRd and fully intend on watching it during lunchtime!

I watched half the episode before the kids started grumbling about my choice of programming…. I did, however, catch a glimpse of the newly redesigned Sizzix Big Shot in all it’s pretty blue glory!

Happy Hump Day,

The Stamps of Life: Mini Tags Balloons

minitags1Hello Blogosphere!

Hope your Monday wasn’t so manic 😉 My Monday went well! There was a sky full of sunshine, my kids cooperated for the most part, I received an award (army spouse stuff), Zumba was easy breezy compared to the last few days, and the house managed to stay clean!

Here’s a card I made using The Stamps of Life MiniTags2Cut Sizzix dies! The Dies come with Stamps as well, but I love seeing how far I can stretch a product, so I flipped my mini tags on their heads and turned them into birthday balloons!

The background stamp is the Birthday4Subways background stamp and the present is a die-cut from the Sizzix Framelits & Stamps Set, Penguin & Candy Cane! You should definitely check out the gallery for more inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by,

Materials: The Stamps of Life (MiniTags2Cut, Birthday4Subways, Penguin & Candy Cane), Bazzill Cardstock, American Crafts Glitter Cardstock, The Stamps of Life Ink (banana), Studio Calico Wood Veneer (tiny stars), baker’s twine, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L (3D Foam Squares Mix White), washi tape

You’ve Got Mail: Neon Cut-Out Cake

Happy Sunday Blogosphere!

It’s been slow-going for me! I think I stayed up a wee bit too late making cards and watching House of Cards. Have you seen it?! So much intrigue!

Here’s a card I made for Lisa Spangler’s You’ve Got Mail Class over at Studio Calico. I used the exclusive stamp set & digital cake image included with the class. I used my favorite new Sizzix Framelits Dies, Zig-Zag Circles, to create the cut-out!

The splatter was made using the new Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Tropicals Gelatos! I LOOOOOVE these colors because they’re so NEON and awesome 😉

Here’s the inside:

And, a good shot with the vellum window:

Quick & Easy Manly Birthday!

_MG_7461Hello folks!

Today is a good day! The house is sickie clear (finally-knock on wood) & I’m getting ready to introduce weight lifting to my exercise routine (eeeeeps)!

Here’s a quick & easy manly birthday card I created with a fun Sizzix Textured Impressions set, Mustache Set of 4!

Using Coredinations Cardstock, simply emboss an A2 sized piece for the background using the largest Textured Impressions, then emboss a strip of coordinating cardstock using one of the sentiment Textured Impressions, sand both, and viola! After that, just create the sentiment sign with some twine and adhere it to the front with a button! Add sequins and this card is ready to go to that special man in mind 🙂

Sorry, but I mustache…

Don’t laugh TOO hard,

Video Tutorial (featuring Eileen Hull’s Designs): Ómbre Valentine’s Card Box

Tiffany:————> YOU ARE HERE!

Hello Blogosphere!

Today, the Sizzix Design Team is sharing projects using dies and textured impressions designed by Eileen Hull! I used the Artist Trading Box Scoreboards XL die, the Flower & Wreath Textured Impressions, and the Little Sizzles in cream (cream mat board cut to size).

I created 14 card for my kids with a reason why I love them on each card! I’ll also include some photos and treats! Eventually, some of the cards will find their way into our Project Life: Deployment Edition Album.

The patterned paper is Lawn Fawn’s Daphne’s Closet (releases soon) & I used the following Lawn Fawn Stamps: schoolhouse backdrops, happy everything, and quinn’s 123s. The back of each box is stamped using Lawn Fawn’s Handmade with Love stamp!

Here’s a fun video tutorial:
