Project Life: Deployment Edition (Title Page)

title

Hello Blogosphere!

I finally took the plunge. I bit the bullet and settled on my favorite Project Life Core Edition & decided to go hybrid! So, here’s my title page! I have a Wide Format Printer, so I can easily print these beauties at home at my convenience. After I print them out on photo paper, I’ll add embellishments, stamping, and other little momentos!

Why did I choose to go hybrid?

1. Convenience. I love dragging and dropping photos directly into photoshop. There’s no need to trim photos or worry about having them ordered. In the end, I can just print off all the pages at home or through a printing service, quickly add momentos, and then throw them into page protectors.

2. Price. I know me. When I buy something, I have to have it ALL. Having everything digital will restrict my supply buy-age.

3. I’ll get it done. It can be awfully intimidating to create page after page with my supplies. You run the risk of those craft mishaps (mis-stamping, ink rubbage, glue boogers, etc.). With the digital format, everything is clean & simple!

4. Easy to collaborate with my soldier in Afghanistan. My husband can simply send me pictures via email, then I can open them, drag them into Photoshop, and viola!

Here are some of the products I will be using with the help of Photoshop Elements:

Project Life Templates A-J, These fit the special page protectors!

Seafoam Edition, Digital

Fonts: Bebas, Impact Label, Traveling Typewriter, Ostrich, and more!

HP Wide-Format Photo Paper (13×19)

HP Officejet 7000 Wide Format

Uniformed Scrapbooks of America US Army Scrapbook

Here’s a helpful link with information on how to use the templates with photoshop: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAQ8y8Pq95k

So, are you a Project Lifer? What do you use? What do you like? I’d love to hear!

Quick & Easy Manly Birthday!

_MG_7461Hello folks!

Today is a good day! The house is sickie clear (finally-knock on wood) & I’m getting ready to introduce weight lifting to my exercise routine (eeeeeps)!

Here’s a quick & easy manly birthday card I created with a fun Sizzix Textured Impressions set, Mustache Set of 4!

Using Coredinations Cardstock, simply emboss an A2 sized piece for the background using the largest Textured Impressions, then emboss a strip of coordinating cardstock using one of the sentiment Textured Impressions, sand both, and viola! After that, just create the sentiment sign with some twine and adhere it to the front with a button! Add sequins and this card is ready to go to that special man in mind 🙂

Sorry, but I mustache…

Don’t laugh TOO hard,

Video Tutorial: A Study in Eggs

_MG_7477Hello Blogosphere!!!

Have you ever had an idea that began as an itch? I bought this printer’s tray forever ago…maybe 4 years ago…and it just sat there. It survived 2 cross-country moves and it still sat there. Then, The Stamps of Life released their Egg Dies (set of 12+ dies) that coordinate with Eggs2Hunt and Eggs4Easter, and like magic I GOT THE ITCH!!!!

I stayed up all night debating what “egg types” I would include on my printer’s tray collection. So, we have felt, hipster, TSOL (The Stamps of Life), canvas, chalkboard, woodgrain, hatched, eco-friendly, washi tape, vellum, cork, and sequined.

Which one do you fancy?

Here’s a close-up:

I love the canvas egg!!! In fact, I have a little video tutorial for ya on how to achieve this look:

_MG_7541

Hello Blogosphere!!!

Lawn Fawn is introducing all SORTS of fun releases this week! Today, we’re featuring projects using Pink Lemonade, a new scrapbook paper line!!! For the project above and below I finally made use of my Doodlebug flower bouquet I purchased a year ago! How to you like it? I even used the Pink Lemonade Trimmings (variegated)!

Lollipop Bouquet:

For the next project, I cut out two mason jars from the patterned paper, created a clear pocket, and inserted sequins! I used some matching Lawn Fawn Trimmings (vivid hemp cord pack) and the Grand Greetings Stamp Set as well!

Tiffspinklemonadecard

Here are two layouts I created for the CHA2013 Winter Show:

This one was crumpled in the mail, but I still can’t wait to add it to our scrapbook! I used the smitty’s abcs stamp set to list my boys’ characteristics on each jar.

So, what do you think!? Pretty fun papers, stickers, and twine right!? Make sure to drop by the Lawn Fawn blog all week long for giveaways and inspiration!!!
